PNP to decide Buchanan replacement

Executive members of the People’s National Party will be meeting this week to decide on a replacement for outgoing General Secretary, Donald Buchanan whose resignation takes effect today.

In a letter earlier this month, Mr. Buchanan said his resignation would allow the party to begin a re-organisation and re-structuring programme.

Among the persons being considered as possible replacements are Dr. D.K Duncan, Horace Dalley, Peter Bunting, Basil Waite and Maureen Webber.

PNP information spokesperson, Lisa Hanna would not confirm whether the party is seriously considering any of these individuals.
