World rated player Stafanie Taylor is among three Jamaicans named in a 13-member West Indies Women’s squad for the team’s opening series in the ICC Women’s Championship against New Zealand Women, starting this weekend.

The other Jamaicans named in the squad are Shanel Daley and Natasha McLean.

The squad also includes uncapped Barbadian 16-year-old allrounder Hayley Mathews.

The selection panel has recalled all-rounder Britney Cooper who last played an One-Day International (ODI) for Windies Women against India Women three years ago.

Deandra Dottin also makes a return, after missing the previous ODI series against the White Ferns last February in New Zealand.

West Indies Women and New Zealand Women will play four ODIs all at Warner Park in St Kitts.

The first match takes place on Friday.

The results of the first three matches will count towards their ICC World Cup tally.

Three Twenty20 Internationals will follow at the Arnos Vale Multiplex in St Vincent.

The ICC Women’s Championship will see eight sides play each other in three ODIs, either at home or away, between 2014 and 2016.
