Tropical Storm Dean

At 4:00 p.m. the center of Tropical Storm Dean was located near Latitude 13.1 degrees north and Longitude 47.9 degrees west or about 1465 kilometres east of the Lesser Antilles.

Dean is moving towards the west northwest near 35 km/h and this general motion is expected to continue during the next 24 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 100 km/h with higher gusts. Further strengthening is forecast during the next 24 hours and Dean could become a Hurricane later tonight or early Thursday.

The progress of Tropical Storm Dean will continue to be closely monitored.
