Two police constables facing charges of robbery with aggravation and assault have each been granted bail in the sum of $500,000 with two sureties.

Constable Ornado Walker, 24, of the St. Andrew North Division and Constable Hugh Daley, 21, of the Trelawny Division appeared in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court.

A warrant is out for the arrest of ex-constable Hemmark Greenland also on charges of robbery with aggravation and assault.

It is alleged that on June 10 2006, the three men who were stationed at the Freeport Police Station, robbed and beat a 10 year old boy at gunpoint along Barnett Street in Montego Bay, St. James.

The matter was reported to the Internal Affairs Division of the police force.
