Member of Parliament for North West St. Ann, Othneil Lawrence said the

National Housing Development Corporation (NHDC) has agreed to a meeting to address problems in the Mount Edgecombe community.

On Saturday, scores of residents of Mount Edgecombe staged a peaceful protest on the Runaway Bay to Brown’s Town main road demanding better treatment from the NHDC.

The residents complained that the 13 year old settlement is still without water and electricity, despite repeated requests to the Corporation for these necessary facilities to be put in place.

Mr. Lawrence said he has been in dialogue with the corporation.
