The Monitoring Committee for the Partnership for Progress negotiations is scheduled to meet for the first time today.

The meeting is expected to set the groundwork for tomorrow’s Vale Royal talks, which will focus on resuscitating discussions regarding a partnership between government and the private sector.

It is expected that Prime Minister, Bruce Golding will be present at today’s meeting of the committee.

Mr. Golding said he will give the committee his own charge and then it will be the responsibility of the chairman, to determine the frequency of meetings and to review the scope of work.

The committee is chaired by Commerce Minister, Karl Samuda and consists of other representatives from the public and private sectors.
