Driver could face persecution

The driver implicated in yesterday’s motor vehicle accident on the Nelson Mandela Highway, which left an elderly woman dead could face prosecution.

Albertina Phillips Tully, 65, of Windsor Heights, Central Village in St. Catherine was killed after she was hit by a motor vehicle.

The police said Mrs. Tully was walking along the highway, when the Toyota Corolla motorcar hit her.

She sustained multiple injuries and later died at the Spanish Town Hospital.

Investigators are now questioning the driver of the vehicle, who was warned that he could be charged.
