Residents in Salem/Runaway Bay, St Ann are seeking the help of Works Minister, Mike Henry to have faulty road construction work in the area corrected.

Councillor for the Sturge Town Division, Winston Lawrence said since the construction of the North Coast Highway started a year ago, several residents and business places along the roadway have been affected by flooding whenever it rains.

The councillor said residents have sought the help of the contractors to correct the problem without success and are now seeking the intervention of the Works Minister.

The Runaway Bay section of the North Coast Highway is being constructed by the Argentine firm Jose Cartellones Constructiones whose contract is expected to expire in a few months.
