Cavalier will be looking to wrap up the Claro/Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League title today, when they meet Mountain View in a rescheduled game at Excelsior High School, starting at 3:30 p.m.
Cavalier leads the standings on 46 points. They are trailed by Santos, who have 44 points but have played one more game. Mountain View United currently occupy fourth spot on 38 points.
A victory will crown Cavalier champions with a round to spare and they should advance to the play-offs with the other confed winners for a chance to return to the premier league for the first time in over a decade.
Cavalier narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season as they finished second in the Super League to August Town by way of goal difference.
When Cavalier and Mountain View met in the first round, Cavalier came away 3-1 winners.
Cavalier are coming off an impressive win in their latest league outing, as they blanked Real Mona 7-0 on Saturday.
David Laylor, coach of Cavalier, is already looking past today's game to the play-offs as he anticipates Cavalier returning to the island's top league.
Laylor said: "The game for us tomorrow will be a final in terms of the mindset and the focus; this is it. It is important to win this game and wrap it up so we are really going to take this game real hard. The objective is to go back to the top and for Cavalier to take its rightful position in Jamaica as one of the top teams."
Relegation
Mountain View, on the other hand, just missed out on relegation last season as they finished a disappointing 10th. They have made significant improvements this season and will not finish lower than fourth. They played out a 1-1 draw with Bull Bay in their last league encounter.
Their coach, Omar Stanley, intends for his team to go for the win to move up to third in the standings.
"We are in a position where we can finish third with the two remaining games that we have, so that would be a good achievement for us based on where we finished last season," said Stanley. "It is not going to be like we're taking a stroll in the park, we are going to play our best available team, we are going to try and win the game."
