One of the jurors in the Vybz Kartel murder trial is to be brought before the court today on allegation that he attempted to bribe a fellow juror.
The matter was reported to court officials, who informed prosecutors and the police of the incident.
The juror is facing a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Director of Public Prosecutions Paula Llewellyn disclosed that the police had credible information that one of the jurors would be facing prosecution in relation to the case.
"If it is that he is tried and found guilty, he can face up to three years' imprisonment at hard labour," she told reporters outside the court.
It is reported that the juror approached a female juror on the panel and allegedly offered her $500,000 dollars to give a not-guilty verdict.
