One of the two men who were shot and killed by gunmen in Crescent Heights, Spanish Town last night was wanted for a number of crimes including murder.
The police say that Leonard ‘Riot’ Clarke, who was among two persons shot dead by gunmen in Crescent Heights, Spanish Town, St Catherine last night was wanted for a number of crimes including murder.
They say it is suspected that Clarke, a member of the One Order Gang, was killed by members of a rival gang operating in the area.
At the time of his death, Police records have Clarke as the main suspect in the murder of Desmond Campbell who was shot dead on October 20 this year at a night club in Dam Head, on the outskirts of Spanish Town.
They also say he was wanted for shooting apPolice, after he and other gunmen shot at the police in the Crescent Heights area in June of 2011.
Last night’s incident took place about 10:30 at a bar on Crescent Road when gunmen, who were in search of Clarke, caught up with him.
They reportedly opened gunfire hitting him several times.
A 52-year-old forklift operator who may have been at the wrong place at the wrong time, was also shot dead.
Investigations are being carried out by the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch.
