Dr Wykeham McNeill, minister of tourism and Entertainment, will today open the new-look Sectoral Debate in the House of Representatives today.
The debate, unlike in previous years when it was opened to all members of parliament, will be restricted to Cabinet ministers and their opposition spokespersons.
Each minister will speak on a specific theme for 45 minutes while each opposition spokes-person will be given 30 minutes. With this year being the first for the new format, ministers may be granted an extension of five minutes. This, however, will be done at the discretion of the speaker.
Opposition: Shahine Robinson, MP - Spokesperson on Tourism
Government:Anthony Hylton, MP - minister of industry, investment and commerce.
Opposition: Karl Samuda, MP - spokesperson on industry, investment and commerce.
