Manchester City suffered set-backs against West Ham United and Tottenham but responded last time out with a 6-1 thrashing of Newcastle in which Sergio Aguero scored five goals in a remarkable 20-minute period.

Unfortunately for City, Aguero suffered a hamstring injury while on international duty with Argentina, against Ecuador on October 9 and later admitted he could be out of action for a month.

City will also be without David Silva against Bournemouth after the Spaniard sprained an ankle in the European Championship qualifier against Luxembourg last week.

With Fabien Delph missing and doubts over Yaya Toure, Vincent Kompany, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy, City are beginning to run out of players.

At least their win over Newcastle took them back to the top of the Barclays Premier League, two points clear of second-placed Arsenal and Manchester United, who are third.

Bournemouth, though, are 15th and just four points clear of the relegation zone after winning just one of their last five - at home to struggling Sunderland.
