The father of the slain St James three-year-old child wanted in connection with her murder has been found dead.

Roosevelt 'Timmy' Thomas was found with multiple gunshot wounds at an abandoned house on Joan Avenue in Glendevon last night.

He had earlier escaped police custody while being interrogated at the Barnett Street police lock-up in the parish.

Thomas, despite being handcuffed, jumped from the second floor of the police station and fled.
