A 41-year-old woman was killed in a car crash while travelling in a taxi on Saturday night along Maxfield Avenue in the Kingston 13 area. 

Reports from the Half-Way Tree police are that around 10:40, Erica Clarke was travelling as a passenger in a Toyota Corolla taxi when the driver allegedly lost control of the motor car before crashing into a utility pole. 

Clarke, two other passengers, and the driver of the taxi were all taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead. 

The two other passengers and the driver were admitted in serious condition. 

The traffic department of the police is investigating.
