The National Water Commission (NWC) has advised that service to some St Andrew communities will be affected this week as it conducts maintenance works along its pipeline network.
According to the NWC, today it will carry out work along Perkins Boulevard and this will affect customers in Patrick City, Duhaney Park, New Haven, Pembroke Hall and surrounding areas.
Tomorrow, work will take place along Woodford Road, Norbrook, with the surrounding areas of Sunset Avenue and Upper Jacks Hill to be affected.
On Thursday, Chancery Hall will be affected as the NWC carries out repairs in that community.
The NWC says service in these communities will be disrupted between 9 o’clock in the mornings and 5 o’clock in the afternoons.
The company is urging its customers to store water for use during the periods of disruption.
Additionally, motorists are being advised to observe the traffic signals of the work crews.
The NWC says the work is part of its ongoing Non-Revenue Water Reduction programme being carried out with co-management partners, Miya International.
