Seven women went up for the Corporate Area queen title at an event at St John quarters at Camp Road on Saturday night. A 19-year-old was crowned the winner.

Corporate Area queen chosen

Miss Audrey Dell, a 19-year-old stenographer, was crowned Miss Kingston and St Andrew by Mrs Lola Neckles in the Miss Jamaica Nation Beauty contest which was held at the St John quarters at Camp Road on Saturday night.

Runners-up were Miss Fay Samuels, stenographer, second; Miss Cynthia Steer, a typist with the Jamaica Defence Force, third; and Miss Margaret Allen, a stenographer, was fourth.

MC was Miss Beverley Anderson of the JBC. The judges of the beauties were Mrs Vie Mendes, Joyce Robinson, Mrs Dorian Powell, Mr Victor Creary and Mr Edward Spear, chairman of the judges.
