THE EDITOR, Madam:
I am writing to you to bring to your kind attention the potholes in the road in my community in Palmetto Pen in May Pen, Clarendon.
The bad state of the road affects everyone, whether one is driving or even walking. There have been several ankles twisted hitting the potholes and car tyres punctured or rims bent. Residents of our community have contacted the local government body about this issue but nothing has been done thus far. The bad state of the road is starting to become a major problem for the people of the community. Every day, kids walk to school and many adults who commute to work use this route. And it only gets worse when rain falls and there are puddles on the road, which we don’t know how deep they are.
We are appealing to the Government to look into the severity of this situation and fix the road at the earliest.
