PREPARATIONS ARE well under way for the 21st Caribbean Shipping Executives’ Conference (CSEC) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from May 1-2.
Already, hundreds of key players in the shipping and logistics industry have been confirmed for the Caribbean Shipping Association’s (CSA) mid-year conference which will be held at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort with Port Everglades as its main partner.
Simon Cohen, founder and CEO of Henco Logistics, will deliver the keynote address on the topic ‘High Performance, Happy People’. Cohen is a best-selling author and entrepreneur who has been recognised by the London Business School for his acumen.
The packed agenda will also feature speakers and panellists from across the industry whose expertise will cover topics of the maritime supply chain crisis, cybersecurity, paperless processes, the cruise industry outlook, payment simplification, and Jamaica’s Data Protection Act.
Decarbonisation will also feature prominently throughout the CSEC as the CSA’s recent memorandum of understanding with the Inter-American development Bank sees two key panels which will focus on the impact of decarbonisation on the industry’s competitiveness and the Caribbean as a platform to decarbonise shipping operations.
Interested persons may visit the CSA’s website at caribbeanshipping.org to register or contact the Secretariat at secretariat@caribbeanshipping.org [2].
