Police investigators have theorised that a domestic dispute may have played a role in the brutal killing of a 29-year-old teacher and her 14-year-old daughter at their home in Mount View Estate in Spanish Town, St Catherine on Thursday afternoon.

They have been identified as Tara Pinnock, who worked at a primary school in Portmore, and Talia Wright, who was a student at a high school in St Catherine.

Head of the St Catherine North Police Division, Senior Superintendent Hopton Nicholson, said the police were alerted sometime after 1:00 p.m. to the discovery of the bodies of the mother and daughter with multiple stab wounds.

Their necks were also slashed.

Meanwhile, the police are urging taxi operator Brandon Maine, who plies the Naggo Head to Spanish Town route in St Catherine, to report immediately to the nearest police station, as they believe he can assist with the investigation.
