The police have named two persons of interest in connection with Saturday’s shooting incident on Jarrett Lane in Kingston that was captured on video and has since gone viral.

Being sought are ‘Sir T’, also known as ‘Sir’, and ‘Nunu Puss’, who are being asked to turn themselves in to the nearest police station by 6:00 p.m. today.

The development follows a targeted operation carried out on Wednesday morning in the Jarrett Lane community, located off Mountain View Avenue.

The operation was extended to sections of Nine Mile in Bull Bay.

According to the police, a total of 12 premises, including 42 houses, were searched during the early morning sweep.

The Gleaner understands that a churchyard located at 72 Lane was also among the locations examined.

During the operation, law enforcement officers reportedly seized ammunition, firearm-related paraphernalia, a quantity of ganja, and several lead sheets.

The rounds were found in a bag stashed in a block.

Investigators believe the lead sheets may be linked to lottery scamming.

Assistant Commissioner Michael Phipps, who is in charge of Area Four, has condemned the actions seen in the viral video.

He stated that the brazen use of illegal firearms in such a manner is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

The incident at the centre of the probe reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday, April 4, following an event held on Good Friday, April 3.

Although the video surfaced and began circulating widely on Easter Monday, preliminary reports suggest that a dispute involving women escalated, leading to the gunfire captured in the footage.

Police investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
