Police Makes Breakthrough

A brother and sister have been charged in relation to the quadruple murder which rocked the parish of Clarendon recently.

Marquis Hamilton, 35, along with 14-year-old Raymond Givans, a student of the Vere Technical High; Ricardo Briscoe, also 14 years old, of Garvey Maceo High; and 16-year-old Alex Turner of Central High, were found lying face down with gunshot wounds to their heads.

Charged are 27-year-old Jermaine Turner, who is said to be unemployed, and his sister, Sabrina Currier, a 21-year-old barmaid, both of Canaan Heights in the parish.

Head of the Criminal Investi-gation Branch Assistant Commissioner Elan Powell

told The Gleaner, "Turner was charged with four counts of murder. He was also charged with robbery with aggravation and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. He was

also found in possession of a cell phone that was robbed from the scene."

The sister, he said, was charged with accessory to murder and receiving stolen property as she, too, was found in possession of a cell phone from the scene.
