PNP's Robinson playing dirty politics

Published:Friday | July 7, 2017 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am very disappointed in the conduct of general secretary of the Opposition People's National Party (PNP) Julian Robinson. He is playing politics with the report from the Office of the Contractor General, which probed the $600-million bush-clearing programme spearheaded by the Government last November to mitigate against the spread of Zika and other mosquito-borne illnesses.

The report showed that most of the bush-clearing and drain-cleaning work took place in PNP constituencies. It is distasteful that Mr Robinson has tried to inject dirty politics into a matter of national importance.

Mr Robinson, you are new on the job and you are not making a difference in the renewal effort of the PNP. Are you coming with the same-old, same-old politics? Some of us noticed that you wanted a scandal to break out.

Shame on you, sir! Work with the Government to build a stronger Jamaica.
