Slow service from Digicel
THE EDITOR, Sir:
On Monday, October 30, 2017 I went to Digicel in New Kingston to pay my Digicel bills. To my surprise, they were closed. I had no choice; I had to go to Tropical Plaza in Half-way Tree. That was when the nightmare started. When I entered, I thought Digicel was giving away free phones; the entire place was full and people moving from one counter to the next cursing. Normally there is a sign that shows customers where to go to pay bills, etc. Now they have redesigned the whole store and left no signs for customers who end up walking all over the place, trying to figure things out. There was no one to assist or tell you where to go. And, as usual, there was only one cashier designated to accept payments. That cashier did not have a cash pan or a printer. So after each transaction, he had to go to the back to get change and to print receipts. I spent one hour and five minutes in that Digicel store.
Where is the extraordinary service, Digicel? Is it only for getting customers' money and not caring about the customer? This has been happening for far too long now and your customers are suffering. Do you read to your customers' complaints on Facebook and elsewhere? You need to remember that the Jamaican people are the ones who made Digicel 'the bigger, better network'. Stop taking your customers for granted.
