Quick action by councillor leads to rescue of missing Clarendon girl, man arrested
I wonder if it’s so easy for a stranger to walk onto a school compound and take a child that doesn’t belong to him and no one notice that the child was missing until the parents came to collect the child. What kind of school is this? – @nickkib23
So how did the girl even go with him? Does she know him? I would be scared of him even now much more. – @RaynorCarline1
Thank God no harm has come to that child. It takes a village to raise a child and we should look out for every child even if it’s not our own. – @foster_winsome
Unfortunately, there are many sick people hurting children. This is nothing new in Jamaica or around the world. Sure, we are pleased with this outcome. This raises the question of how a six-year-old can be picked up from school by someone other than their parents. System failure! – @mydocvu
The sexual offender registry should be made public. – @thesgduncan
The lesson here is that those community groups that many of us find so annoying and archive have a lot of value. Join them! – @jaevionn
Big up to this Councillor. Kudos to you sir for stepping up and intervening to save this poor little girl. – @marcgayle
The question they need to ask him is, was he acting alone? Is there a network of people working together to abduct children? Can’t play jungle justice yet. We need answers. FIRST! – @shanthereal1
So how did he just walk unto the school take her and walk off? – @OHMY_ITSANNA
Grateful for this quick action. – @Kareemcares
Thank God. This could have ended ugly. Big up Bramswell. – @Gracehuldah
There are more questions than answers. What is the relation to the child? How was she abducted from the school premises? How did she go willingly with a stranger? How the principal/teacher let this happen? – Ann Reid
The Ministry of Education needs to institute a system where students under a certain age can only be picked up from school by preauthorised persons. Thankfully this child was found and the criminal caught. – Michael Dunn
This is an opportunity for the Board of Education to put in place iron-glad policies to prevent unauthorised persons taking children from school grounds. Safety concerns should be a daily reminder to children entering and leaving schools. – Wallace-Ignatiev Pekah Pamella
