Finance Minister opens Budget debate today
Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips will open the 2015/16 Budget Debate today in the House of Representatives.
Phillips has tabled a $641.6 billion expenditure package.
Last April, Parliament approved a $540 billion Budget, which was later reduced to $539.3 billion.
Meanwhile, the budget debate will continue on March 17 with Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Audley Shaw, making his contribution.
Leader of the Opposition, Andrew Holness, will make his presentation on March 19, with Prime Minister, Portia Simpson Miller, making her contribution on March 24.
The finance minister will close the debate on March 25.
