JUTC selling old buses, invites scrap metal bidders

The bus company says bids must be submitted by Wednesday, September 30.

The state-owned Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) is seeking to sell 60 of its old, derelict buses to generate money for its cash-strapped coffers.

The JUTC says the buses are up for sale as scrap metal.

The bus company says bids must be submitted by Wednesday, September 30.

According to the JUTC, interested persons must be registered scrap metal dealers and must be in possession of tax a compliance certificate and a TRN.
