Woman pregnant with twins dies from swine flu

The patient, a 29-year-old woman was pregnant with twins. She died at the University Hospital of the West Indies. In the meantime, a hospital official says there have now been 28 cases of adults and seven children with the swine flu.

Jamaica has now recorded its fourth swine flu-related death in three weeks.

In the meantime, a hospital official says there have now been 28 cases of adults with the swine flu.

In addition seven children have been confirmed to have contracted the virus.

The hospital official says the matter is now being regarded as very, very serious.

The first patient to have died from swine-flu related complications was 50-year-old Mandeville-based doctor Suzanna Roye. 

A week later, a 49-year-old woman succumbed at the UHWI, and then an 84-year-old woman died days after.
