Bakers' Association concerned about pending increase in egg prices
The Jamaica Bakers' Association has expressed concern about the ten per cent increase in the price of eggs, stating that this will inevitably affect the price of baked products.
President-elect of the Bakers' Association Winston Piper says the association's members will be meeting at the end of April to discuss increases in vital ingredients.
Piper says the ten per cent increase in the price of eggs will especially affect cake bakers.
He says bakers may be able to use other products instead of eggs, but those options are few.
