Education Minister Ruel Reid has expressed condolences to the family of a second form student of Mona High School who collapsed in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew, yesterday afternoon.

The student, Darnell Foster, was rushed to hospital where, regrettably, he later died.

The education ministry says its Trauma Response team has been dispatched to the school where grief counselling is being offered to staff and students.

Senator Reid, who is in the United Kingdom participating in an Education Forum, will reportedly visit the school on Thursday morning.
