4.2 mag earthquake rattles 4 parishes

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the richter scale rattled sections of the island late last night.

The Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies, Mona says the quake struck at 11:56 with an epicentre of approximately 40 kilometres southwest of Treasure Beach, St Elizabeth.

The unit says the earthquake was felt in sections of the parish, St James, Hanover, and St Andrew.
