The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) is describing the new National Identification System (NIDS) as the vaccine for duplication of identities and other corrupt activities surrounding identity.

OPM's Director of Communications, Robert Morgan, says NIDS will bring an end to identity duplication.

He says up to this point, there is no proper way of identifying and verifying the identity of Jamaicans, excepting a passport which not everybody has.
