Who installed illegal streetlights in St Mary?

The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) says it still does not know who is responsible for the streetlights that were illegally installed in St Mary.

Earlier this month, the JPS removed nine illegally installed streetlights in the community of Epsom.

The company said the streetlights were removed from another area and brought to the community.

A JPS representative told our news centre this morning that a probe into the matter has not unearthed any information about who installed the illegal lights.

The representative noted that the installation of illegal streetlights is an ongoing challenge which the JPS continue to tackle.
