Grant says the union is disappointed that the government has not acceded to its pleas for better conditions of service.

The Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA) President, O’Neil Grant, says the union will be pressing for an earlier date in the New Year to resume wage negotiations with the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service.

Grant says the ministry has set a meeting for January 10, but he says the union believes that the wait is too long.

In an interview on Power Talk on Power 106 FM, this morning, the union head said the wage talks need to be given urgent attention by the government.
