Young entrepreneurs Nakeita Mullings and Daderia Dunn have teamed up to offer Ocho Rios and its environs a service that they believe is needed in that resort town.

Flash Errand Services has opened its doors at Soni's Plaza, Main Street, Ocho Rios, to offer pick-up and delivery services for clients residing in areas stretching from Tower Isle in St Mary to Richmond in St Ann.

Mullings says that the company provides services to suit just about every related need.

"We will go to the tax office because you can't bother to stand in the line. If you're not able to go to the supermarket, we will. We do personal shopping and gift buying. If you desire something to be done in the bank, if you need food to be picked up at a restaurant, whether fast food like Burger King or KFC, or an la carte restaurant, we will get it done for you," Mullings said.

For a more efficient service, the company will pay for the items to be picked up (where applicable) and recover the cost upon delivery, she pointed out.

Delivery costs begin as low as $300 for errands in Ocho Rios proper, and are adjusted to suit the errand to be undertaken.

RIGHT TIME TO BEGIN

Mullings is expressing confidence in the business, being convinced that now is the right time to begin operations in the resort town.

"I think Ocho Rios is ripe for a service like this; people are busy. Ocho Rios is a small community, but we have a lot of professionals [and] a lot of senior citizens who may live alone or maybe just cannot find that person to go out and do stuff for them, so this is where we come in.

"It has to work, it must work. There is a need, but you just have to figure out how to service that market and how to tap into those needs. The bottom line is excellent customer service, because that is what keeps us going back to where we shop or access service."

Currently, Flash Errand Services operates from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., seven days per week, but the hours may change if the need arises.

The company is on social media and may also be reached at 420-6235 and 336-1331.

"If you see an errand not listed, call us. Once it is legal, we will ensure that we get it done for you," said a confident Mullings.
