JP St Mary's launched a refreshed line of the popular JP St Mary's tropical snacks at the Pavilion, Hope Gardens, St Andrew, recently. This diverse line includes banana chips, plantain chips, breadfruit chips and cassava chips in a plethora of flavours and sizes for everyone to enjoy.

Surrounded by JP St Mary's supporters and foodies, the new packaging for all JP St Mary's snacks was revealed, along with opportunities to sample the same great tastes we all know and enjoy by themselves or incorporated into an exciting dish.

"The changing of our packaging signifies JP St Mary's commitment to continuously evolve and innovate to remain relevant in the marketplace. This package refresh will also allow us to trade our products even more aggressively locally and globally because not only do our products have the same great flavour, but aesthetically, we are even more visually appealing," said Tara Goulbourne, commercial manager, JP St Mary's.

The event also featured the release of the JP St Mary's new jingle, performed by the official JP St Mary's brand ambassador and Jamaican dancehall artiste, Mink Jo.

MARKET LEADER

JP St Mary's is the market leader in Jamaica for tropical snacks and fresh produce. The JP St Mary's range of snack products is produced at factories located in St Mary, Jamaica, and Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic.

The produce line includes ripe bananas, green bananas, pineapples and coconuts, which are grown and harvested in St Mary, Jamaica. All products leverage the JP brand, which maintains a reputation for high quality and innovation.

"Today, we sell over a million packs of JP St Mary's every week across a number of markets, including the United States and the United Kingdom. So, in our commitment to continuously improve our products, we listened carefully to our consumers and studied the requirements to have our range of products ready for placement in an expanded range of markets and channels," said David Martin, managing director, JP Tropical Group.

"We made significant changes to the taste profiles of our ripe and green plantain chips. We also introduced our plantain strips - perfect for party occasions with a dip. We even tweaked our cassava chips and Jamaica's favourite banana chips to enhance flavour and satisfy our customers."
