Sandra Crouch provides a blessing for fathers
International gospel artiste, Sandra Crouch will appear alongside twin brother and gospel icon, Andrae Crouch at the Father's Day Concert - 'A Blessing for Fathers' - scheduled for Sunday on the west lawn of King's House. An accomplished singer/songwriter in her own right, Crouch has also distinguished herself as a drummer and has collaborated with her brother on such popular songs as Soon And Very Soon, The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power, Through It All, Bless His Holy Name and My Tribute.
In 1985, she was awarded with music's highest honour - the Grammy Award - for Best Female Gospel Soul Performer. She has also received industry recognition from the Gospel Music Associa-tion's Dove Awards for Best Traditional Gospel Album of the Year.
According to recently published reports in Black Christian News, Sandra and her brother Andrae were instrumental in the late pop superstar Michael Jackson receiving Jesus Christ three weeks before his death. It was reported that both had audience with Michael and spent some time with him in prayer.
Appearing on the show, alongside Andrae and Sandra Crouch are internationally renowned Jamaicans, Chevelle Franklyn and Judy Mowatt. The new star-studded line-up includes the young violinist, Nadje Leslie, who will be accompanied by her father, Michael Leslie, Jon Williams and Friends, the Emmanuel Mass Choir, Mervin Fishly, ASHE and Movements Dance Company of Jamaica.
Jessica Yap who was previously advertised to appear on the concert will not be performing.
