Pulse superstar model Jeneil Williams is a woman on fire. She's on the summer cover of fashion's revered and edgy i-D magazine and has emblazoned her image on fashion's year 2010.

Yet another coveted booking, Jeneil's i-D means that she is moving with consistency from the inside of fashion's great magazines to the covers. Undoubtedly the model of the moment, she is enjoying a hugely successful year with credits and bookings that have set her charts on both sides of the Atlantic ablaze.

Having made history as the only Caribbean model to have appeared in the all-black girl collectors edition of Vogue, Williams has firmly staked her claim as one of fashion's elite. The demand for her and her versatility in filling that demands is reflected in her iconic LOVE Magazine cover for Conde Nast as well as that of the foremost financial publication, the Wall Street Journal.

Impressive season

The Pulse Model Search second-place winner has had a most impressive season, accumulating such major clients as US Vogue, Bennetton, Lanvin, GQ, Grazia, L'oreal, Essence and Nordstrom in quick succession. She has added these to a long list of previous successes including the likes of Italian Vogue, Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry, Louis Vuitton and Russian Vogue.

The i-D cover, shot by Daniel Jackson, shows off the dark chocolate toned beauty in the signature i-D wink that has characterised all of the magazine covers since inception. Jeneil's star appeal is also on display in an editorial which appears on several pages inside the magazine.

But, i-D aside, Jeneil has had a stellar show season and ruled the runways with her Pulse agency counterpart Sedene Blake at the New York, London and Paris collections. Combined, the two amassed a record-breaking 80-plus shows presenting for some of the most important designers at the collections including Carolina Herrera, Catherine Malandrino, Diane Von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Custo Barcelona, Narciso Rodriguez, Nicole Miller, Loewe, Tommy Hilfiger, Paul Smith, Viktor & Rolf, Emanuel Ungaro, Vivienne Westwood, Valentino and Zac Posen to name a few.

Other modelling credits

Her other modelling credits include Oyster, A, Rosa Cha, Tracy Reese, Steven Klein, Lilly Pulitzer, Rodeo, PPQ, Richard Chai, Fly, Amy Molyneaux, Twenty 8 Twelve, Vena Cava, Top Shop, Diesel, Jawbone, Macy's, Baby Phat, L'wren Scott, Ruffian, Twinkle and Hannah Marshall among others. One of the stars (and the only black model) in last season's ultra exclusive Oi Fashion Rocks in Rio, Jeneil took to the catwalk for the stylish Marc Jacobs and Alexandre Herchcovitch among celebrity luminaries like the indomitable Grace Jones, Mariah Carey, P. Diddy, British songbird Estelle, Ciara and Ja Rule among others.

In an interview with British Vogue earlier this year, Jeneil candidly spoke about her career as a model, quoting shopping and first dibs on the latest season trends as the best 'perks of a very hard job'. "Modelling is definitely not as easy as it looks, it's hard work and you have to keep focused. Once the cameras are on, you have to give 150 per cent. However, once work ends, I try to find a little time to unwind and do things I really love."

Discovered in Pulse's Caribbean Model Search, Jeneil is represented and managed by the Pulse model agency through which she is additionally signed to New York Models in NYC, Ford in Paris, Premier in London and the Why Not agency in Milan.
