WESTERN BUREAU:

Former Mayor of Montego Bay Noel Donaldson has written to Prime Minister Bruce Golding to make him aware of death threats he has received from within the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).

In a letter to Golding dated November 16, Donaldson stated that he had received credible information that persons were threatening to kill him because he supported newly elected JLP deputy leader Dr Christopher Tufton.

Tufton defeated Dr Horace Chang by 207 delegate votes during an ill-tempered contest at the Green Island High School in Hanover on Sunday.
