Flow expands HD offering

Flow, Jamaica's first and only triple play provider of cable TV, voice and broadband data services, has added yet another innovation: 27 High Definition Television (HDTV) format Channels.

High-definition television (HDTV) refers to video resolution significantly higher than traditional television systems. HD picture is five times richer than that of Standard Television Definition.

At 1080p, Flow carries the highest commercially available HD format. Added to this high-quality technology, the company now offers consumers the luxury of customizing their television packages to match their lifestyle and budget at an affordable rate.

Sharon Roper, director of marketing at Flow explains; "This is part of our overall plan to enhance how we offer HD in Jamaica. We are changing the way customers purchase HD channels, making it more convenient for the customer. Instead of buying the Watch HD package, HD Channels will now be available in the same packages that the standard definition versions are available".

Consumers are offered a customizable package of 10 HDTV channels, for example five HBO Basic + HD Channels and 12 HBO Premium + HD Channels can be combined into a 27-channel package, at an affordable flat rate.

With the London 2012 Olympics rapidly approaching, Flow gives Jamaicans the option of viewing the medal races in HD. Sports fans joining Flow's HD TV revolution, will appreciate the benefits that HD viewing offers. The crisp picture quality will allow Jamaicans at home to enjoy a realistic London experience.

The new HD channel line up includes: MTV, Lifetime and Fox Soccer channel.

Flow HD-TV supports other features commonly referred to as 'Red Button' services, such as; Flow On Demand, Flow Games, Flow's Bill View, Caller ID on TV and Mosaic Channels which allows customers to view multiple channel previews on one screen.
