CALLING ALL BACHELORS

Do you know a young man who has never been married, is successful or climbing the ladder to success? Is he between the ages of 25 and 35, loves women and can stan the scrutiny of a good girl's parents? Then Flair is on the hunt for him for our 2011 Bachelor Issue. In 100 words or less, tell us why we he is Mr Right and send us a picture to prove it. Send details and information to: lifestyle@gleanerjm.com by September 30.

Wounded pride

1 The 'breaking news' that the person went cap in hand to Daegu soliciting help to stage the country's 50th anniversary celebration is not going down well! Many regard it as a slap in the face for the athletes who did so well, and for others it's a case of wounded national pride.

Transformation time

2 Some are saying it's a case of being careful of what you wish for, as before the appointment there were questions surrounding his ties. Since his ascension, however, he has distanced himself and some say even reforming the organisation. Observers are now convinced that those who appointed him did so in the hope of being able to use his past to control him, but it is not quite working out that way!

Groom and groom

3 Friends say it's a case of, if at first you don't succeed. The first marriage was to a woman, and now the second is to a man. The first took place on the rock, the second took place recently in Canada, and the groom and groom are now living happily ever after!

Bloody murder!

4 Yet another questionable 'land' deal involving a government agency and a favoured supporter is causing disquiet in the business community! Word is the property was sold at below market price without it ever being advertised to the public. Now the current tenant, who had expressed an interest, is screaming foul and bloody murder, as they are now being asked to pay much higher rental by the new owners!

Packing it in

5 Some say he lost millions in the uptown and downtown Ponzi schemes, including the family home. Now, to save face and avoid the creditors, he's packed it all in and is heading abroad where the dole guarantees a much better lifestyle!

Ugly mess

6 It has been dubbed one ugly mess, as there are claims and counter claims of fraud and high-profile personalities not just reneging on business deals but claims and counter-claims involving real estate and monetary fraud, which resulted in the police getting involved.
