Digicel to reimburse BlackBerry users
Telecommunications firm Digicel says it will be reimbursing BlackBerry customers affected by last week's service outage.
The move follows BlackBerry manufacturer Research In Motion's announcement that it would be providing customer's with up to US$100 worth of premium BlackBerry apps in the coming weeks.
"Digicel prepaid BlackBerry users whose service was active during the outage will be reimbursed for the hours of interruption to their Internet subscription during that period in the form of credit - while Digicel postpaid BlackBerry customers will receive a credit on their monthly bill for the equivalent duration of the outage of BlackBerry services," Digicel said in a release.
"All affected Digicel Black-Berry customers will be contacted by text message next week with the details of their individual reimbursement - and credited accordingly."
