Why did you decide to sponsor Flairtatious?

National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB), as the primary indigenous financial institution, takes its corporate social responsibility very seriously and opportunities to partner for change and to participate in nation building are considered perfect fit. The sponsorship of Flairtatious is twofold as we celebrate a medium that addresses personal developmental issues directed primarily at women; while contributing to a worthy cause which will improve the lives for teenagers at Mary's Child. NCB congratulates the Gleaner's Lifestyle team and is thrilled to be a part of Flair's 27th anniversary celebrations.

How are you hoping to benefit from the sponsorship?

This sponsorship enables our actively delivering on our mantra of 'Building a Better Jamaica', our returns can be realised when the impact of our support results in a change and makes a difference.

What is your company's policy regarding corporate citizenship?

NCB maintains a formal corporate social responsibility policy that strategically outlines how as an organisation we add value, show respect and make it happen in our marketplace, environment, workplace and communities. Through our philanthropic arm, NCB Foundation, we focus on using education, youth leadership and community development to bring about positive socio-economic change.

With Christmas fast approaching, do you have any special sales or marketing initiatives to share with Flair readers?

At NCB, we pride ourselves in delighting and meeting the needs of our customers. The festive season is usually filled with not only good cheer, but expectancy and, as usual, we will not disappoint. Let's just say we have plans geared specifically for our customers and the Jamaican consumers. Currently, customers can receive huge benefits from our Payroll Plus Loan, which allows for Christmas preparation, as they may borrow up to 11 times their gross monthly salary, for any purpose. Please look out for our other exciting promotions which will be launched in a few weeks.

Why did you decide to sponsor Flairtatious?

CPJ has worked closely with The Gleaner in developing successful brands for a number of years, so the opportunity to strengthen that partnership through participating in Flairtatious with our wines and spirits brands could only be a good thing.

How are you hoping to benefit from the sponsorship?

This sponsorship allows us to create yet another fun experience with our brands for our consumers. Finlandia Vodka, El Dorado Rum cocktails and Hob Nob wines will be on the tongues of all the guests. This is just the beginning of what can be a long and fruitful relationship.

What is your company's policy regarding corporate citizenship?

While we encourage consumers to enjoy wines and spirits, especially in social environments, we implore them to use a taxi or have a designated driver. It is our mandate to encourage the development of a responsible society.

With Christmas fast approaching, do you have any special sales or marketing initiatives to share with your consumers?

Well, there's a lot in store for consumers who choose CPJ brands this Christmas: from champagne parties and fashion shows to special discounts and supermarket sampling sessions. Our brands, Grey Goose, Bacardi, El Dorado and Patron - just to name a few - are coming out in a big way this holiday season.
