Thursdaytalk

Rush time!

1. The talk is all about the rush to get the big event out of the way to pre-empt the drama that is to come! Word is, a lot of unplea-santness lies ahead!

Smacks of desperation

2. Some say the trend of attempting to recruit the other party's damaged goods and or rejects smacks of desperation and is not regarded as a confidence booster by those looking on from the benches of the undecided!

Liberation Day

3. Members of the organisation have now taken to referring to November 12 as Liberation Day! There's even talk of some attending the departure lounge to make sure that there's no mix-up to hinder the much-anticipated departure!

Old rule?

4. Some constituents are asking if the old rule against bankrupts being ineligible, no longer applies.

40 each!

5. Observers say it's a case of fuzzy maths as both parties are predicting that when the dust on the election is settled, they both would have won 40 seats, despite the fact that only 63 will be contested!

Living in exile

6. Buzz around town is that the fallen one is now caught between a rock and a hard place as he is now said to be considering living in exile, and if that does not pan out, story is he will reconsider giving up!

Tight cash

7. Word is, traditional donors have grown tight-fisted, and with one of the last two major bankrollers in trouble and the other awaiting a similar fate, things are not all peaches and cream in the financial department!

No sense of duty

8. Concerns are mounting in some quarters that some of the 'young-ones' represent no one interest but their own as they have been busy party-shopping, in an effort to get on any ticket that will get them to power.
