Rainforest Seafoods have done it again. This time, their new product is a package of eight beenie bammies that has hit supermarkets and all that company's outlets in time for Lent and Easter. Best stored in the freezer until time for preparation, this product is manufactured from Jamaica's best cassava and goes well with the staple - fish. And, you name it, all the fish you could ever desire is also available at Rainforest Seafoods Limited.

Starting next week, we will be presenting you with lots of recipes for the season of Lent, the time of year when many people remove meats from their diets and consume only the protein from the sea.

The sweet cassava bammies are all natural with zero gluten, zero transfats and totally healthy for you. Plus, they are ready to serve, as no cutting up is necessary. The pack retails for under $150. Enjoy!

Recipe

Try preparing your bammy this way: You don't have to fry at all. You simply soak in water (pinch of salt optional); dry in a sheet of paper towel, spread your choice of margarine or butter lightly on both, sides and either place in the microwave for two minutes untill fluffy, or toast on both sides in a heavy, hot skillet (Dutch frying pan or non-stick frying pan), until slightly crispy.

You can soak in coconut milk or any other milk of your choice.
