Write to drive - 2012 Honda Civic up for grabs

Hard on the heels of its official local debut at Hope Gardens, St Andrew, on Wednesday, February 1, a regional competition has been launched in which entrants can win a 2012 Honda Civic.

Run by 'Honda Drive Your World' and ATL Automotive, the local dealers for Honda in Jamaica, it is part of a regional competition in which 10 of the motor vehicles will be given away. One 2012 Honda Civic will be won by persons in Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Aruba, Dominican Republic and, collectively, the Bahamas, Trinidad, Jamaica and Grand Cayman, which will participate as one region.

Those wishing to enter have to visit Honda Jamaica on Facebook and say where they would go and what they would do in a 2012 Honda Civic. After submission, to generate more points by getting views, votes and comments for the entry, they should share it with friends on Facebook, Twitter and other social sites, as well as through email. Honda will select the top five contestants in each country or region, one of whom will win a 2012 Honda Civic.

Double points can be earned by taking a test drive of the vehicle at ATL Automotive in Kingston or Montego Bay, the test, a must to win the car. Also, the winner must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's licence.

The contest ends on Saturday, March 31, 2012.
