Historic building lies in ruins

THE EDITOR, Sir:
Why has the Government sat down and allowed the old attorney general's offices at the corner of Barry Street and Church Street in downtown Kingston to fall into such an appalling state of disrepair?
The building is now being used as a toilet by the homeless and mentally ill.
This building is just a stone's throw from the offices of the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation on Church Street. The next thing we will be told is that it will cost millions to be repaired. This is a clear example of the wasting of taxpayers' money.
