Cable and Wireless Worldwide sale won't impact LIME

LIME yesterday moved to assure customers that the United Kingdom-based Cable and Wireless Worldwide (CWW), which Vodafone has agreed to purchase, is a completely separate company from LIME's parent company, Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC).

"Cable and Wireless Worldwide is the former sister company of Cable & Wireless Communications. However, CWW has its own governance structure, its own shareholders and its own rules for managing its operations," LIME stated in a release yesterday.

"The managementof or any developments at CWW do not affect CWC or by extension LIME."

With its release an apparent attempt to alleviate any possible concerns about LIME in wake of the CWW deal, the telecommunications firm stressed that the Vodafone agreement would have no impact on LIME's operations.
