Employees at Flow recently put the best of Jamaica's culinary heritage in the spotlight as part of a series of events the staff is staging to commemorate Jamaica's 50th anniversary of Independence.

As part of Flow's 50s Fridays, team members were invited to prepare and bring in samples of their favourite Jamaican foods. The result was a delicious buffet of a diverse selection of Jamaican cuisine.

LUNCH TREATS

For lunch last Friday, the team enjoyed everything, from the national dish of ackee and salt fish, to run down with roast breadfruit, patties and duckunoo. Treats such as sweet potato pudding, paradise plum sweeties, busta and the ever-popular banana chips were all part of the mouthwatering fare that all enjoyed.

"Our team has become fully engaged in all our activities to celebrate this milestone year in our history. They really stepped up to share the best of Jamaican culinary delights with their colleagues," notes Jeanette Lewis, public relations manager at Columbus Communications Jamaica Limited, operators of the Flow brand.

Flow's 50s Fridays is a staff initiative that commemorates Jamaica's 50th anniversary of Independence with weekly theme days highlighting aspects of Jamaica's culture.
