LIME kept us connected

THE EDITOR, Sir:

We have all been affected in one way or another by the passage of Hurricane Sandy, some more adversely than others. Though I was extremely lucky to have escaped any serious harm or damage to my person or property, I feel compelled to voice my approval of the LIME network.

It was such a blessing to be able to communicate with family and friends during the storm. I was also able to contact the security guard at my place of business to ascertain if all was well.

You cannot imagine my relief when, in spite of being without water and light, my fully charged LIME phone allowed me to have contact with the 'outside world'. I was able to get news updates, send out messages, receive and reply to email and even escape boredom by surfing the net. I was also able to reach out to the Jamaica Public Service to find out when my power will be restored, all courtesy of LIME.

I realise many persons did not have the same luck (on the competing network) as I did and I wanted to just say 'job well done' to LIME for standing up against Sandy and maintaining my sanity by keeping me connected.
